Major highways of MichiganInterstate 69-It runs from the Mexican border in Texas to the Canadian border at Port Huron, Michigan.
Interstate 75 - It runs from Miami, Florida, to Sault Ste. Marie.
Interstate 94 - It runs from Billings, Montana, to the Lower Peninsula of the US state of Michigan.
Interstate 96 - It runs entirely within the US state of Michigan.
Interstate 194 - Battle Creek and I-94 in the southern portion of the city.
Interstate 196 - Connects Benton Harbor, South Haven, Holland, and Grand Rapids together.
Interstate 296 - It runs entirely within the Grand Rapids area.
Interstate 475 -It starts southwest of Grand Blanc and covers the area of Flint and finally goes to downtown.
Michigan Rest Areas
The Michigan Department of Transportation manages seventy eight rest areas along major and minor highways for the ease of travelers. Rest areas are open 24/7 for travelers and they offer a variety of services. They are classified into seven zones. Rest areas provide fresh drinking water, luxurious restrooms, telephones, picnic spots and parking areas.

Bursley-Baits operates between the Bursley Hall, Central Campus Transit Center and Vera Baits Houses.
Commuter North (Weekdays) The Commuter North begins at Crisler Center and ends at Glazier Way, connecting South Campus with North Campus via Central Campus, the Hill area, and the Medical Campus, and serving destinations including the Michigan Union, Central Campus Transit Center, University of Michigan Hospitals, and Pierpont Commons.
North-East Shuttle (Weekdays) The North-East Shuttle
connects the Medical Campus to the VA Hospital, North Campus Research
Complex, and East Campus destinations including the Green Rd
Park-and-Ride, Plymouth Rd Park-and-Ride, East Medical Campus, and
Dominos Farms
Commuter South (Weekdays) The Commuter South begins at Glazier Way and ends at Crisler Center, connecting North Campus with South Campus via the Medical Campus, the Hill area, and Central Campus, and serving destinations including Pierpont Commons, University of Michigan Hospitals, Central Campus Transit Center, and the Michigan Union.
Diag-to-Diag Express (Class days) They operate between Cooley Lab to the Central Campus Transit Center.
Northwood Express (Class days) Northwood Express operates between the North Campus Fire Station to the Central Campus Transit Center.
Med Express (Weekdays) They operate between Orange Fuller Road and Glazier Way to Taubman Center/University Hospital, Cancer Center and Mott Children's Hospital/M22.
Night Owl Night Owl provides service between the Central Campus Transit Center and Oxford Housing.
Northwood (7 days/week) Northwood operates between Central Campus and Northwood Housing areas on North Campus.

The Port of Monroe is the major import and export hub for the city of Monroe. It is also commercial, industrial, and recreational Gateway to the City of Monroe. The Port of Monroe is Michigan’s only Port on Lake Erie. The Port of Monroe links directly to the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Seaway System.
